SCOPE & LIMITATIONS OF THIS INSPECTION

This is a non-invasive, visual and electronic assessment of the accessible parts of the vehicle, carried out at the agreed location and time. To set clear expectations, the following are not included:

• No dismantling or disassembly. We do not remove parts, panels, trim, covers, seats, carpets, undertrays, bumpers, or wheels. Areas that are sealed or only visible after dismantling — e.g. behind trim, under carpets/headliner, inside doors, inside the fuel tank, or sealed modules — are not inspected.
• Hidden or inaccessible faults. Defects not visible or detectable without dismantling, a workshop lift, or specialist equipment, or concealed by dust/sand, dirt, water, undercoating, or recent cleaning/detailing, cannot be identified.
• Paint thickness (gauge) readings. Where paint protection film (PPF), vinyl wrap, thick coatings, or heavy tint are present, gauge readings become unreliable and are reported as indicative only.
• Road test. Where a test drive is performed, it is a short, low-speed check near the inspection location under prevailing traffic, road and legal conditions — not a sustained high-speed, highway, or track test. It may be shortened or skipped where it cannot be done safely or legally.
• No prediction of future condition. We report condition as observed on the day and cannot predict future failures, remaining component life beyond any stated estimates, or intermittent faults not present at the time of inspection.
• Records & history. Odometer, accident, and service history are reported as displayed or as supplied by third-party data sources; we cannot guarantee they are free of tampering or omission.
• Odometer / mileage tampering. Although our diagnostic scan reads the modules that store mileage, odometer tampering cannot always be detected — a rollback can be carried out on each individual module, and some vehicles store mileage in only a single module, leaving no second source to cross-check against. We therefore always recommend obtaining an official RTA Car History report to confirm the odometer reading is genuine.
• Specialist testing (e.g. engine compression / leak-down, fluid laboratory analysis, deep ECU diagnostics) is not included unless expressly stated in your package.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of INSPECTMOTORS (InspectMotors Services LLC) for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense arising out of or connected with this inspection or report — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise — shall not exceed the inspection fee actually paid by you for this inspection. We accept no liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including (without limitation) loss of profit, loss of use, repair costs, diminished value, or the purchase price of the vehicle.

CAR BUYING ADVICE — PROTECT YOUR PURCHASE

Our inspection is one important layer of protection — but the smartest purchases combine several. Alongside this report, we always recommend that you:

• Verify the full service history. Confirm that oil changes and major services were carried out on time at reputable, verified garages or authorised workshops, and keep the supporting invoices and records.
• Check official RTA records. Confirm the registration, ownership and accident/repair history, verify the odometer reading is genuine, and make sure there are no outstanding fines or other worrying entries.
• Confirm there is no outstanding finance or lien registered against the vehicle before you pay any amount.
• Match the VIN / chassis number on the car to the documents and history records.
• Get a specialist second opinion for high-value, modified, or specialist vehicles where it adds extra peace of mind.

This report does not guarantee a blind purchase. Used vehicles can develop faults at any time, and some things are simply not detectable on the day. By combining our inspection with verified service history and official RTA records, you give yourself the strongest possible protection for your investment.
